James William Hackett
James William Hackett is an American poet and philosopher born in Seattle, Washington in 1929, most notable for his work with haiku in English. The James W. Hackett Annual International Award for Haiku, named after him, was administered by the British Haiku Society from 1991 to 2009.〔(The British Haiku Awards 2010 ) on the British Haiku Society website〕
